Join us at the 2024 Graduate Image of Research Reception

Every year, as we prepare for the annual Image of Research exhibition, we are amazed at the diversity and beauty of graduate student research on our campus. This year's semifinalists span disciplines, passions, and artistic worlds. 

We invite you to explore the online exhibition and vote for your top three entries. Your votes will determine the People's Choice winner ($100 award). 

Join us at the reception on Wednesday, April 10, from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in room 220 of the Main Library (1408 W. Gregory Dr., Urbana) when we announce awards for First Prize ($500), Second Prize ($300), Third Prize ($200), Honorable Mention ($100), and the People's Choice Award ($100). The event is open to the public.

Image of Research is an annual multidisciplinary competition celebrating the diversity and breadth of graduate student research at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. It is organized by the Scholarly Commons of the University Library and the Graduate College.  

The semifinalists were chosen by an interdisciplinary panel that judged entries on 1) connection between image, text and research, 2) originality, and 3) visual impact.
